Delete Your Account

Learn how to permanently delete your Dayleveling account and all associated data.

Overview

Dayleveling allows you to permanently delete your account and all associated data directly from within the app. Account deletion is irreversible — once completed, your data cannot be recovered.

How to Delete Your Account

Follow these steps to delete your account from the Dayleveling app:

Open the App and Go to Your Profile

Launch the Dayleveling app and navigate to your Profile screen. You can access this from the top-right corner of the Home screen.

Scroll Down and Tap "Delete Account"

Scroll to the bottom of your Profile screen. You will see a "Delete Account" option displayed in red. Tap on it.

Read the Warning and Confirm

A warning dialog will appear explaining that this action is permanent and irreversible. It will list all the data that will be deleted. If you wish to proceed, tap "Yes, Send Code".

Verify with OTP Code

A 6-digit verification code (OTP) will be sent to your registered email address. Enter this code in the app to confirm your identity. The code is valid for 3 minutes.

Account and Data Are Permanently Deleted

Once the OTP is verified, your account and all associated data are permanently deleted. You will be signed out immediately and redirected to the login screen.

What Data Is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently and irreversibly removed from our servers:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, profile photo, and authentication credentials.
  • Nutrition Data: All food logs, meal scans, calorie and macronutrient records, and meal plans.
  • Water Intake Data: All water consumption logs and hydration history.
  • Weight Data: All weight entries and progress tracking records.
  • Habit Data: All habits, completion records, and streak history.
  • Expense Data: All expense entries, budgets, categories, and financial summaries.
  • Preferences and Settings: All app preferences, notification settings, theme selections, and personalization data.
  • Analytics Data: All personal analytics, daily summaries, and progress reports.
  • Push Notification Tokens: All registered device tokens for push notifications.

Data Deletion Timeline

Account deletion is processed immediately upon successful OTP verification. All user data is deleted from our Firebase Firestore database and Firebase Authentication records in real time. No backup copies of your data are retained after deletion.

Important Notes

  • Irreversible: Account deletion cannot be undone. Once your account is deleted, there is no way to recover your data.
  • Signed Out: You will be automatically signed out of the app on all devices.
  • Re-registration: If you wish to use Dayleveling again after deleting your account, you will need to create a new account. None of your previous data will be available.
  • OTP Attempts: You have 3 attempts to enter the correct OTP code. After 3 failed attempts, you will need to request a new code.
  • OTP Expiry: The verification code expires after 3 minutes. If expired, you can request a new code.

Need Help?

If you are unable to delete your account through the app (for example, if you cannot access your registered email to receive the OTP), please contact us and we will process your deletion request manually within 30 days.
